<p><b>The Wainhouse Collaboration Summit, recognised internationally as the leading industry conference on IP communications and the merger of voice, video and web conferencing – is being brought to Australia for the first time by Canberra based secure videoconferencing specialist ServicePoint, following six years of sell out events in San Franscisco and Berlin. </b></p>

<p>New York school teacher Jody Kennedy who worked with Harvard University and the prestigious US “Think Tank” the Brookings Institute to create the unusual “Global Run Project”, winner of last year’s USDLA award for Best Practice in Distance Learning, uses videoconferencing to connect students in 25 schools in 14 countries. The USDLA Awards were created to acknowledge major accomplishments in distance learning and to highlight those distance learning instructors, programs and professionals who have achieved and demonstrated extraordinary results through the use of online, videoconferencing, satellite and blended learning delivery technologies.</p>
<p>The distance learning workshop will take place on the final day of the Wainhouse Collaboration Summit February 14, 15 and 16. Distance learning and training services include pre-k-12 education, higher and continuing education, home schooling as well as business, corporate, military, government and telehealth markets. Other speakers include Dr. Richard Caladine, Manager of Learning, Innovation, and Future Technologies, University of Wollongong; Dr. Robyn Smyth, Lecturer in Higher Education, The University of New England, Armidale; Paul Baird, General Manager of IT Services at FINSIA, the Financial Services Institute of Australia and Paul Crosisca, TAFE Queensland Videolinq.</p>
<p>The three day Summit being brought to Australia by Canberra based Federal Government secure videoconferencing specialist ServicePoint, will focus on the latest “unified collaborative communications” technology including IP telephony-based solutions (IPT), and voice-video-web applications as well as new initiatives in high definition video and telepresence in government, education, and health, according to Wainhouse Managing Partner and Senior Analyst Andrew Davis who will lead the Summit.
