Quantum's Craig Tamlin Appointed to SNIA Board of Directors

<p>SYDNEY, Aust., 21 June, 2007 – Quantum Corp. (NYSE:QTM), the leading global specialist in backup, recovery and archive, today announced the appointment of Craig Tamlin, country manager, Australia &amp; New Zealand, to the Board of Directors of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) for Australia and New Zealand. The Board will assume immediate responsibility for the delivery of SNIA ANZ’s strategic objectives over the next twelve months.</p>
<p>Tamlin will work closely with Board members to address the requirements of the major vendors, the needs of the broader market, and the interests of storage customers. This is an initial step to extend SNIA’s outreach into the storage community so that the views of all stakeholders are taken into account when planning educational and marketing activities on behalf of the industry.</p>
<p>Craig Tamlin said, “I am honoured to be selected to the SNIA Board of Directors where I can help shape the state of health of the local storage industry by making recommendations on the right programs to be run. Our goal is to make SNIA more relevant to end users as well as storage industry professionals, to increase membership and give unbiased information to the market.”</p>
<p>The newly appointed Board of Directors for 2007/2008 comprises eleven senior executives from leading systems integrators, storage vendors and industry advisors. It will shortly be announcing its strategic objectives for the next three years and how it will deliver a comprehensive program of activities in Australia and New Zealand.</p>
