Toshiba rolls out the red carpet for new AV Sales and Marketing Team

<p>Backing up its commitment to the audio visual (AV) market, Toshiba (Australia) Pty. Limited, Information Systems Division (ISD), announces a new product marketing and sales team for its AV products.</p>
<p>“As Toshiba is well on its way to becoming leaders in home entertainment technology through the true convergence of IT and AV, it was important to select a sales and marketing team with solid experience and a winning record,” said Mark Whittard, general manager, Toshiba ISD. “Our AV products are top of the range with stand-out technologies and our new team members reflect these qualities.”</p>
<p>Steve Rindfleisch is welcomed on board as the Toshiba AV Sales Manager, and has been working within the consumer electronics industry for 10 years. Bringing to Toshiba a wealth of knowledge, experience and insight, Steve was the Group Sales Manager for Sony Australia (Consumer AV/IT), and more recently the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Digitec.</p>
<p>Sanjay Bhartiya is now appointed as the Product Manager for LCD Televisions at Toshiba. He comes from Sharp and has many years experience working with Samsung, Sony and Phillips.</p>
<p>Francois Spina is the new Product Manager for DVD at Toshiba, moving from the company’s technical specialist and ProCare training divisions. With strong IT experience in DVD and the High Definition DVD format, Francois has demonstrated knowledge of AV technology.</p>
<p>Rounding out the team, new sales representatives have been appointed in each state, dedicated national telesales personnel, an AV service manager, service personnel, and AV technical support.</p>
<p>Toshiba are market leaders in mobile computing technology, and are significant players in research and development. Moving forward, the AV team will strongly support its High Definition products and technologies, including the HD DVD format.</p>
<p>“All new appointments will make a valuable contribution to the growth of Toshiba’s AV business in Australia, particularly to escalate the company's roll-out of high definition products and strategies,” continued Whittard.</p>
