E3 - Nintendo press conference highlights

After a flashy video opener to start the show. Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fil-Aimes took to the stage to trumpet the huge success of the Wii in Japan and the U.S., calling the console a victory for all of gaming.

During his speech, he called the portable DS Lite the "beacon" for all of gaming, given its success among females and older gamers.

Reggie then lashed out at those competitors who call the Wii a "fad," saying, that if he were in their shoes, he'd say the exact same thing. He also claimed that the Wii is on track to be the leader in the "current" console generation -- something Microsoft also said in their briefing.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl has officially been slated for a December 3rd release in North America.

Some new footage of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was also shown, which the presenters promised will be the best first-person shooter of the year. (Better than Halo 3?)

Before returning to the floor, Reggie Fil-Aime announced Mario Kart Wii will be an online game in "first quarter 2008", and will include a steering wheel attachment, which you snap the Wii Remote into.

Saturo Iwata, Nintendo's president, was next to take the stage. It was then revealed that Super Mario Galaxy is slated for a November 12th release.

Miyamoto was next to take the stage, to predictably thunderous applause. He explained the new game called Wii Fit, which will include a pressure pad peripheral you stand on and interact with. It is called the "Wii Balance Board" and will double as a weight scale when connected to a TV.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.

MSI GS65 Stealth Thin

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
