• 09 October, 2007 11:02

The Avalanche Technology Group of companies has announced it has set up a separate business to manage and distribute the AVG range of Internet security products, called AVG (AU/NZ) Pty Ltd.

Peter Cameron, Director of AVG (AU/NZ), said: “We wanted to capitalise and build on the strength of the AVG name and create a greater presence in the Australian market. AVG sales represent the largest and fastest growing part of our business and we felt that by creating a dedicated company we would be able to provide a greater focus on the products and open up fresh opportunities for everyone.

“As far as our resellers are concerned, it is business as usual with the same team of people looking after them. But now we have a dedicated website (www.avg.com.au) and reseller centre for this side of the business.

Avalanche Technology Group will continue trading as the distributor of FinePrint products, including pdfFactory Pro, as well as distributing other new products as they are added to its portfolio.

AVG (AU/NZ) Pty Ltd (www.avg.com.au)
Based in Melbourne, AVG (AU/NZ) is a wholly owned Australian company that distributes the AVG range of antivirus, firewall protection and security solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets. The products, which are installed on more than 50 million PCs worldwide, provide outstanding technical solutions and exceptional value for the client.
