Libec appoints G.D.B. International Exclusive Distributor for tripod range

 • 24 October, 2007 11:18

G.D.B. International is proud to announce our appointment as the exclusive Distributor of Libec tripods in Australia and New Zealand. Libec is a long-standing Japanese based company that designs and manufactures a range of prosumer and broadcast quality tripods, lens controllers, pedestal systems, jib arms and tracking rail systems.

“Libec has a global presence with significant market share in Europe, the United States and Asia. Our aim is to build on that success in the Australasian market” said Mr David Cooper, Sales and Marketing Manager at G.D.B. International. “We are offering our dealers extremely competitive pricing. We will also offer packaging opportunities with other tripod-oriented products from our Bebob camera accessories, Azden wireless microphone systems and nNovia hard disk recorders” he said.

Libec has differentiated itself by offering features across its entire range that are usually reserved for broadcast level tripods. These features include large camera base plates, fast and precise camera mounting, reinforced tripod legs and spreader supports that prevent bending or twisting during filming.

One of the most popular Libec products is the TH-650 Tripod. This tripod has been specifically designed for the prosumer DV market and works perfectly with the popular Sony PDWEX1 and the HVR-Z1P cameras. The TH-650 offers a fluid head with a built-in counter-balanced tilt mechanism that compensates for the camera's weight and tilt angle. Other features include large locking levers for pan, tilt and camera quick-release plate operation and a one-touch operation for lock and release.

For more information on the Libec range please visit www.gdbint.com.au and click on the Libec logo.
