Three Wireless products unveiled, including SMB BlackBerry app

CA offers management software for BlackBerry; Aruba delivers Draft n Wi-Fi hardware

Research In Motion (RIM) Monday released software designed to help businesses with up to 30 users get the same core wireless e-mail and related functions from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that larger companies and government organizations now get.

Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM launched BlackBerry Professions Software today for wireless access to e-mail and business applications in an easy-to-manage format, company officials said in a statement.

The software is priced at US$499 for five users and US$849 for 10 users, and it can be expanded to 340 users with additional licenses.

In a separate announcement, CA announced CA Mobile Device Management software to manage BlackBerry smart phones. Among the features it offers: the ability to wipe data from lost or stolen devices over the air.

The new software is available for US$65 per device. CA is planning to provide similar capabilities for other devices, a spokesman said.

In yet another announcement, Aruba Networks announced new Draft 802.11n access points and a high-performance controller module to allow organizations to convert to faster Draft n Wi-Fi speeds and begin support for cellular-to-WiFi devices, the company said.

The new Multi-Service Mobility Module from Aruba can be used to retrofit Aruba's MMC-5000 and MMC-6000 Multi-Service Mobility Controllers, potentially allowing 80Gbit/sec. throughput and support for 32,000 users and 2,000 local access points.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
