Local Property Giant Appoints NetStar to Manage National Network

 • 27 November, 2007 11:09

Sydney, 27 November 2007 – NetStar Australia today announced it has signed a two-year deal with Investa Property Group to manage the company’s corporate data and security network.

Under the agreement, NetStar is supplying Investa – one of Australia’s largest commercial property owners – with NetManage, NetStar’s real-time network monitoring and management service. NetManage is a cost-effective service that will provide Investa with full network visibility including 24/7 network support services and fault rectification, through the NetStar Global NetCentre.

NetStar will be managing all of Investa’s servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, switches, routers, wireless access points across Australia.

Mark Bancroft, IT Manager, Investa Property Group, said, “My objective is to improve the reliability of our IT infrastructure, while simplifying the management and reducing the overall costs of IT. NetStar’s NetManage service allows us to outsource a significant part of our IT management to a partner who has the expertise and track record to ensure our network continues to run at its peak.

“We have a diverse network with five major offices, plus more than sixty 1-3 person operations scattered across the country, so it’s important we chose a reliable outsource partner in which we could be confident, to provide maximum network availability and prevent major outages.

Oliver Descouedres, Marketing Director, NetStar Australia, said, “With the increasing complexity of technology environments, plus the added pressures of shrinking IT budgets, it makes sense for an organisation like Investa to outsource its network management. With NetManage, Investa’s small IT team can focus on core business IT issues rather than day-to-day running of the network. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with Investa.”

NetStar provides lifecycle IP networking solutions. With extensive expertise in deploying and supporting secure, converged networks NetStar enables companies to improve productivity and reduce support costs. In particular, NetStar offers market-leading network management offerings across voice, data and security infrastructures. NetStar’s unique Software as a Service approach to network management enables customers to reduce infrastructure support costs by 20-50%.

NetStar is a Cisco Gold partner and focuses on integrating and supporting Cisco Advanced technologies. NetStar has delivered solutions to more than 800 enterprise and government customers since 1995, and manages over 300 customers globally through our Global NetCentre (network support centre). Customers include Energy Australia, Swinburne University, Tyco and Wesfarmers.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
