gotalk Launches first combination VoIP and Fixed Line Telco Service

 • 09 April, 2008 16:01

PRESS RELEASE: Sydney April 9

• Fast growing Trans Tasman telco gotalk launches “best of both worlds” - new phone plans which offer small businesses and SoHo customers an “industry unique” combination of VoIP and fixed line services for those who want the cost savings offered by VoIP, but are nervous about getting rid of their traditional fixed line for business.

• Called gotalk “Biz Duo”, the new business plans include unlimited free local and national calls – plus the ability to connect to gotalk’s award winning – and very popular - VoIP World Pack which today announced the addition of six new countries to its list of 36 international destinations which can be called for free.

“We recognize that some small businesses do have concerns relying only on VoIP to run their business communications, so gotalk has introduced business plans for those who want to make the call savings VoIP can give them - but aren’t quite ready to turn off their fixed line,” CEO Steve Picton said today. “The timing of the new improved version of our VoIP World Pack simply comes as an added advantage.”

“gotalk’s Biz Duo offers a range of plans, including great VoIP and business rates for one monthly fee – including two plans that offer truly unlimited free local and national calls,” Mr. Picton said.

“With gotalk Business Duo plans you pay just one monthly access fee for a fixed business line and a VoIP line.”

“We know different types of businesses have varying needs for communications which is why we have a suite of plans offering different levels of usage. We expect that most customers will predominantly use the included VoIP account for outgoing calls, but if calls are made over the fixed phone line, customers will still get access to market-leading call rates. Business Duo simply offers market leading choice, flexibility – and peace of mind,” he said.

“With our Biz Duo plans businesses can make a local or national call through VoIP for only 9.9c per call or upgrade to a higher value plan that offers unlimited FREE local and national VoIP calls. And if the business chooses to make outgoing calls through their fixed phone line, they will be able to do so from just 15c for local calls and 15c per minute for national calls.”

New Improved VoIP World Pack

Mr. Picton said the new, improved gotalk VoIP World Pack would be available to all gotalk customers – Biz Duo or not - from 1 April.

“Bulgaria, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Turkey can now be called for free with World Pack,” Mr. Picton said.

“We’ve also added Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Paraguay and the Philippines to the 20c per call block of countries,” he said.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
