Adobe to trial Creative Suite 3 subscription service in Australia

New payment service exclusive to Australian users

Adobe has announced the availability of a new subscription service for Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. The service allows users to pay month-by-month and is exclusive to Australian customers. The Subscription Edition of Creative Suite 3 Design Premium retails for just $129 and offers two unique payment plans. Subscription pricing is $129 per month for a 12-month contract, or $199 a month on an ad hoc basis. In both cases, the first month is included free in the sales price.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Subscription Edition includes full-versions of Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. It provides an affordable, alternative way to access the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium while providing the same features and functionality.

"Available only in Australia, the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Subscription Edition allows communications professionals and designers to have access to the latest version of the industry's leading design suite in a new flexible payment method," said Peter McAlpine, Australia and New Zealand country manager at Adobe. Adobe also confirmed that subscribers would receive CS3 software upgrades free of charge while under contract.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium Subscription Edition will be available in May 2008 to customers in Australia for both Macintosh and Windows platforms.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
