VIGNETTE CASE MANAGER DELIVERS ADVANCED PROCESS AUTOMATION AND MULTICHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS

 • 22 May, 2008 14:40

Sydney, Australia — May 22, 2008 –Vignette (NASDAQ: VIGN), a global leader in Web experience management and delivery, today announced the upcoming availability of Vignette Case Manager. A key ingredient of Vignette’s Web Experience Platform, Vignette Case Manager allows organisations to automate and track important customer transactions, such as mortgage applications and income tax forms, across multiple communications channels including the Web, email, phone and paper.

“Process heavy transactions like managing investments, claims processing and license renewals involve a significant amount of interaction between service providers and their customers,” said Mike Aviles, president and CEO of Vignette. “Vignette Case Manager adds a multichannel dimension to our Web Experience Platform, enabling organisations to make these traditionally offline procedures available via the Web and other interaction channels.”

A significant differentiator of Vignette Case Manager is its single, integrated platform for managing business processes and the associated customer interactions. Records of all communications are stored, providing service representatives with access to a complete customer interaction history. The records can be recalled at any time via any channel and acted upon. The latest release of the product also addresses compliance and governance mandates through a tight integration with Vignette Records Manager. Additionally, Vignette Case Manager provides a configurable, easy to install interface which can reduce the services and cost traditionally associated with process automation.

“Vignette Case Manager enables our Company Announcement Processing department to handle a growing volume of company announcements, often with complex content and rich multimedia, in a highly efficient manner,” said Gary Harvey, Enterprise Applications Manager at Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). “The scalable and flexible nature of the product also means it can grow to handle even the largest ASX case loads.”

Vignette Case Manager will be available in June 2008. For more information on Vignette’s Web Experience Platform, visit http://www.vignette.com/vwep.
