StreamMyGame brings hardcore gaming to Eee PCs

Software update allows lag-free gameplay on latest UMPCs released a new version of its software yesterday that allows games to be played remotely on 'ultra-mobile PCs', including the popular Asus Eee PC ultraportable. The new update is targeted towards Eee PC and Ebox computers, along with more than 100 UMPC notebooks from other manufactures.

The new software allows games to run at full screen resolution on both the Windows and Linux versions of the Eee PC. Both versions (Linux and Windows) have been optimised to run on the complete range of Eee PC machines.

Richard Faria, CEO of StreamMyGame, said: "You can have your games installed on your home PC and play them on your Netbook around the home and remotely, providing a portable gaming experience on screens that have resolutions of 1024x600."

Utilising StreamMyGame's technology, high-end games like Crysis, Call of Duty 4 and BioShock can be played smoothly and lag-free on the Eee PC and other UMPCs. The gaming power is delivered from your main PC and networked to your Netbook. Using the new range of Eee PCs that employ 802.11n and WiMAX will further improve gameplay by substantially reducing network lag.

"There are over 100 Netbooks and UMPCs that are now compatible with our technology and we will guarantee similar compatibility with the MID market", Richard Faria said.

Notebook models compatible with the latest version of StreamMyGame include the Asus Eee PC 900 (Linux version), Eee PC 900 (Windows XP version), and Eee PC 701 4G, the Hewlett-Packard 2133 Mini-Note PC (FH441PA), the Fujitsu Lifebook U1010 3.5G, LifeBook P1610 and LifeBook P8010, the HTC Shift X9500 and the Acer Aspire One.
