PROGNOSIS IP Telephony Manager tops analyst firm’s competitive solution report

 • 02 February, 2006 10:47

Integrated Research’s PROGNOSIS precise performance monitoring software has been recognised as the most integrated and comprehensive “whole-of-life” VoIP management solution. Respected industry analyst firm Yankee Group has placed PROGNOSIS as the top ranked product in their VoIP Management Solution Guide released in mid January.

According to author George Hamilton when reviewing strengths, “PROGNOSIS has been involved in IP telephony from the earliest days and has progressed to manage many of the largest Cisco IP Communication deployments across the globe. The principal strengths of PROGNOSIS are in the breadth and depth of coverage across the Cisco IPT solution, the ability to provide TDM-equivalent performance management by monitoring calls and call performance in real time and the flexibility and scalability of its solution.”

The Yankee Group VoIP Management Solutions Guide provides the definitive in-depth comparison of leading vendor solutions. The Guide not only determines the most suitable solutions for each type of deployment, it provides the only direct comparison between those solutions.

The report goes on to say, “PROGNOSIS distinguishes itself from others that typically focus on particular components of IP telephony management. As more organisations adopt larger scale deployments, the ability for PROGNOSIS to manage highly distributed or very large environments (often exceeding 10,000 phones) will position the company as leading vendor for a variety of deployment sizes.”

The most compelling recommendation for PROGNOSIS appears in the Guide’s conclusions and recommendations where George Hamilton states, “The shortlist for any enterprise should include PROGNOSIS.”
