Australian Auto Consumers to get a Better Deal on Spare Parts

 • 25 June, 2008 09:45

Sydney, 25 June 2008 – CarbonBlack TyreXchange (CarbonBlack) today announced a new agreement with Advanced Automotive Data Services (AADS) to incorporate more than 920,000 catalogued aftermarket auto parts into the CarbonBlack online quoting marketplace. This includes aftermarket parts for over 7,800 vehicle makes and models, with a timeframe spanning from the 1950’s to today and importantly catering for older “classic” and popular privately imported vehicles.

For Managing Director of CarbonBlack, Jodi Stanton, the deal with AADS addresses a set of industry issues. “This is a great way for the tyre and auto industries to leverage technology and the internet to produce efficient, low-cost, consumer-focused and measurable marketing outcomes,” she said.

The online quoting marketplace works when consumers visit the site and log in with details of their vehicle (make, model, year and series) and request information on an auto part and/or service. They can research their requirements online, call the directory service members or source a customised quote through service providers in their area.

“We are very pleased to have established an agreement with CarbonBlack,” outlined Mr. Alan Paris, AADS. “This initiative introduces CarbonBlack consumers to almost a million auto parts only a click away,” he outlined.

Since establishment in mid 2007, CarbonBlack has increased its trade inventory, employment listings and launched its Web 2.0 directory service – connecting consumers to auto dealers directly. Dealers now have a transparent measuring tool for their marketing investment and measurable sales leads have doubled in a six month period.

About CarbonBlack TyreXchange

CarbonBlack TyreXchange (CarbonBlack) is Australia’s first independent online quoting marketplace for new passenger tyres and related services. CarbonBlack facilitates a market space for tyre manufacturers and tyre dealers to reach consumers with a wide range of new tyres and after-market products. Established in Sydney in 2005 by Ms. Jodi Stanton, Founder and Managing Director, the company today operates in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Victoria and is currently planning to launch nationally and establish its presence in the United States of America.
