<p>Its strikingly evident that home is where the heart - and the workplace – is in the new millennium.</p>
<p>Home-based business in Australia is a thriving growth industry, spawned by intuitive stay-at-home entrepreneurs taking a direct route along the information superhighway. As a result, a great proportion of IT businesses are run from home.</p>
<p>In acknowledgment of this boom sector, the Australian Home-Based Business Awards (AHBBA) will be held during the Australian Business &amp; IT Expo (ABITE) on Saturday August 16, 2008, at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank, Melbourne.</p>
<p>Home based business operators are eligible to enter one of five categories for the AHBBA: Business &amp; IT Services; Personal Services; Trade; Merchandising; Food, Hospitality, &amp; Farming.</p>
