Fortinet Grows New Zealand Team to Enhance Partner Training Support

<p>Fortinet® - the pioneer and leading provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - today announced further growth in New Zealand, with the appointment of a new systems engineer based in their Auckland office, and the scheduling of additional local sales training courses to be held as part of Fortinet’s FortiPartner™ channel program.</p>
<p>Fortinet has grown rapidly in both New Zealand and Australia in 2008. As part of the expansion, Jack Chan has been appointed as senior systems engineer. With eight years of IT security industry experience, Mr. Chan has worked for Accenture, Unisys and Fortinet, based previously in its Hong Kong office. Now, relocated to Auckland, Mr. Chan will be responsible for providing presales support to Fortinet’s channel partners, helping them to design and sell UTM solutions. Mr. Chan will also provide ongoing sales training programs to New Zealand-based FortiPartner members, with courses being held regularly from September 2008.</p>

<p>The FortiPartner program aims to provide resellers with effective sales and marketing programs, training and the support services needed to enable their business success. The FortiPartner program is tiered into Platinum, Gold and Silver levels, based on revenue attainment and training. There are now more than 70 FortiPartner members across Australia and New Zealand. Fortinet is looking to add another 30 resellers to the program by the end of 2008.</p>
