MySpace Australia yesterday announced the expansion of its local MySpaceTV platform with the launch of MySpaceTV Live.

Indie-rock band Death Cab for Cutie took to the stage yesterday afternoon to a crowd of nearly 600 at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney as part of MySpaceTV’s first live concert stream. The free concert, held in cooperation with the Nokia Online Music Store, was broadcast globally through MySpaceTV to a potential audience of 115 million viewers worldwide.

However, the event didn’t exactly go off without a hitch. The 600-strong audience attending the event were a mix of journalists and members of the public who had won free tickets as part of a MySpace Australia competition. While most of the competition winners got in, some were denied entry for the majority of the concert.

Some competition winners, such as MySpace user 'Alex-and-her', were infuriated when they discovered they weren’t allowed entry until 10 minutes before the concert's end. He claimed that some MySpace users had made multiple copies of their tickets. In a comment submitted to the MySpaceTV Live Web site, Alex-and-her blamed MySpace Australia for not preventing this.

The event also launched the MySpace Road Tour, a three-week reality show which will see radio personality Jabba tour Australia and meet the 10 “most extraordinary” MySpace users. The show will be produced in cooperation with Fremantle Media, which is also producing premium content for the MySpaceTV platform.

MSI GS65 Stealth Thin

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
