BigAir and Access Providers announce network sharing agreement across Sydney and Melbourne

<p>BigAir Australia Pty Ltd (BigAir) and Access Providers Ltd. (APV) today announced a network sharing agreement enabling the companies to expand their network coverage across the cities of Melbourne and Sydney respectively.</p>
<p>The agreement means that BigAir’s wireless broadband service will be available for the first time in Melbourne and equally, Access Providers wireless broadband service will be available to customers in Sydney.</p>
<p>Using similar technologies, BigAir and Access Providers will interconnect their networks to provide a seamless link between Sydney and Melbourne to deliver high-speed wireless broadband services.</p>
<p>“There are many strong synergies between BigAir and Access Providers,” said Jason Ashton, joint managing director, BigAir. “Working together means that we can now utilise each others networks to provide services such as broadband Internet and VPN (virtual private networks) for our customers with offices in both Sydney and Melbourne.”</p>
<p>“We are pleased to form this relationship with BigAir,” said Keith Ondarchie, Chief Executive Officer, Access Providers. “We can now expand the coverage of our business-grade wireless data services to include Sydney, this is something our channel partners and business customers were very interested in.”</p>
<p>Both BigAir and Access Providers own and operate their own independent wireless broadband networks to deliver a unique broadband service with complete control over speeds, service levels and price. The partners have also agreed to explore the potential for joint network deployment and sharing in other cities across Australia.</p>
