Axway, the leading global provider of multi-enterprise solutions and infrastructure, today announced that Axway Gateway, Axway Gateway Interchange and Axway Endpoint Activator have been certified for AS3 Interoperability by Drummond Group, Inc. Axway’s certified solutions also successfully completed an optional test, Very Large Message Exchange (VLM), which tested messages with payloads up to 1 GB.

The AS3 standard dictates how data is transferred over the Internet using File Transfer Protocol (FTP). The AS3 interoperability test consists of a rigorous checklist in which vendors go through an automated testing process. According to Drummond Group, because Axway is Drummond Certified™ for both AS2 and AS3, companies using Axway’s AS2 products can also take advantage of their AS3 certified products for VLM exchange over the Internet.

Axway provides global enterprises with the ability to transfer business intelligence from business-to-business (B2B) across the Internet in a fast, secure and traceable manner. Axway's three certified solutions include:

• Axway Gateway and Axway Gateway Interchange – Trading partners are able to freely exchange pertinent business information in a secure and reliable way, allowing them to conduct business more easily.

• Axway EndPoint Activator – Companies can easily collaborate and communicate with one another to efficiently move mission-critical business information quickly and securely across the Internet.

“As one of the founding developers in the widely adopted Electronic Data Interchange (EDINT) protocols for AS1, AS2 and AS2, we continue to work closely with the standards community to improve and expand upon the standards by which data transfer is tested,” said Andy Wilkinson, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Axway. “With this interoperability test, Drummond Group again validates our commitment to industry standards and enabling our customers to securely transfer mission-critical information from one domain to another – no matter the size of the file.”

For the company’s General Manager Pacific, Stree Naidu, the AS3 Interoperability certification is another key component of to the continual expansion of the regional sales channel. “We remain committed to technology leadership and industry standards. These are factors that we look for in our channel partners and we can only lead by example,” he said.
