Hamburg/Germany, JULY 20, 2009 — NAVIGON AG, the leading innovator in the navigation market, today announced the launch of an Australian version of its MobileNavigator LITE application for the iPhone. The free software is now available in the Apple App Store. The LITE version can simulate NAVIGON’s full navigation solution for the iPhone, so users can experience the new software before buying it. The app can also display the user’s position on a map and allows to search for nearby POIs, but it has no active route guidance.

“The LITE version offers a preview of NAVIGON’s full application for the iPhone,” said Egon Minar, CEO of NAVIGON AG. “In Europe, the NAVIGON MobileNavigator for the iPhone has been tremendously successful, and very soon, it will be available in Australia as well.”

The full version transforms any iPhone 3G equipped with the new Apple OS 3.0 operating system and any iPhone 3G S into a complete navigation device. NAVIGON will offer this solution for a one-time fee. After downloading the application, the NAVIGON software and the map data from NAVTEQ® are saved directly on the device. This means that users don’t have to pay subscription fees or to download maps during the navigation. It will include many of NAVIGON’s signature features such as Reality View Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant and Day & Night Mode. NAVIGON has also implemented typical iPhone functions into its application such as an automatic switch between portrait and landscape view. The only requirement for using the MobileNavigator on the iPhone is the new Apple OS 3.0 operating system. The LITE version also runs on iPod Touch devices with the OS 3.0.

The iPhone LITE application launch follows NAVIGON’s recent introduction of three new portable navigation devices (PNDs) to the Australian market – now available in all Harvey Norman stores.
