SYDNEY, Australia – 20 July, 2009 – NetApp today announced the appointment of Empired Ltd as an Authorised Professional Service Partner for the Australian market. Empired, a NetApp Platinum-level partner in the NetApp Partner Program, joins a select group of NetApp Authorised Professional Service Partners who have undertaken an intensive, specialised NetApp training program to gain this authorisation.

The NetApp Authorised Professional Service Partner Program allows partners to sell and deliver their own brand of professional services for NetApp® solutions by utilising NetApp best practices, tools and methodologies, comprehensive training, and implementation support. As part of the program, participating NetApp partners receive exclusive, specialised access to the same solution-based service delivery tools, templates, and methodologies used by NetApp’s Global Services professional service teams.

Brendon Jarvis, general manager, Strategic Growth, Empired, said, “Our decision to undertake certification to become a NetApp Authorised Professional Service Partner was based on our desire to strengthen relationships with our customers and the ability to provide them with a true value-add in the form of professional services. The benefits of this certification are twofold. First, it allows us to offer customers a new skill set, which can help transform their data centres. Second, it increases revenue opportunities for our business by driving up productivity efficiencies and the ability to leverage NetApp’s tools and methodologies.”

Scott Morris, director of Partner Sales for NetApp Australia and New Zealand, said, “Our objective is to provide solution-focused partners such as Empired with opportunities to become more engaged with customers. NetApp’s Authorised Professional Service Partner Program gives partners the opportunity to go deeper into NetApp customer accounts. The ability to sell professional services alongside a NetApp solution strengthens Empired’s role as a trusted advisor to customers by allowing Empired to deliver a complete solution set and maximum value for enterprise data centres. We congratulate Empired on this achievement.”
