~ Ex-Army Information Security Expert Expands TruSecure's Intelligence and Services Capability in Australia and New Zealand ~

SYDNEY Australia, November 20, 2003: TruSecure®, the leading provider of intelligent risk management products and services, has announced further expansion to meet demand in Australia and New Zealand, with the appointment of Leanne Fleming as Senior Security Consultant.

Based in Sydney, Fleming's primary responsibilities include consulting and presales support and account management for TruSecure's Australian and New Zealand customers. Fleming also has an important role as TruSecure's public spokesperson, educating the business and technical communities about Intelligent Risk Management, TruSecure's innovative approach to IT security.

"Most organisations take a technology-driven approach to IT security," said Fleming. "They act as if 100% security is achievable, and waste scarce resources trying to achieve this impossible goal. While organisations increase expenditure on technology 'fixes', the numbers of security vulnerabilities and successful attacks like Blaster and Sobig continue to increase.

"Organisations would actually be more secure if they concentrated on managing IT security risks to a degree acceptable to their business," she said. "With Intelligent Risk Management, TruSecure applies business risk management principles to the IT security problem, following up with actionable intelligence so organisations know when and how to respond to potentially damaging threats."

"TruSecure maintains leadership in the security market and continues to expand its customer base due in large part to in-house experts who understand the value and importance of a proactive, risk-based approach to information security," said Philip Dewar, VP of Operations, Asia Pacific for TruSecure. "Leanne Fleming brings a wealth of security experience and superior levels of technical and business understanding to her role, further strengthening TruSecure's level of service in Australia and New Zealand."

Fleming has more than 20 years experience in the security community. Prior to joining TruSecure, Fleming was Training Manager for security firm VeriSign Australia's Education Services business. Her previous role was Senior Supervisor, Information Systems in the Australian Army, where she served over 20 years, training initially as an Electronic Warfare Operator.

Fleming holds Graduate Diplomas in Frontline Management (Australian National University) and Information Systems (Queensland University of Technology) and Associate Diplomas in Information Systems Management and Telecommunications Intelligence (ANU).

TruSecure is the leading provider of intelligent risk management products and services. TruSecure dramatically improves security and reduces risk by helping organisations make better security decisions and maximise the effectiveness of existing security people, processes, and products.

Leveraging TruSecure's vast security knowledge and intelligence gathering resources -- including ICSA Labs, the global leader in information security product certification -- as well as innovative technology and time-tested processes, our customers can predict which vulnerabilities present real risk, quickly adapt to changes in the security threatscape, prioritise remediation efforts, measure progress in improving their security posture, and document compliance with applicable security policies, standards and regulations.

Headquartered in Herndon, VA, TruSecure Corporation has offices in North and Central America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Our customer-proven solutions are used by more than 700 organisations worldwide. For more information about TruSecure Corporation, visit
