SYDNEY, Australia — 4 August, 2009 — NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) executives Dan Warmenhoven, chairman and CEO, and Tom Mendoza, vice chairman, received the Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce at IDG’s Computerworld Honours Program’s 21st Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening. For over two decades, the Computerworld Honours Program has acknowledged those individuals and organisations that have used information technology to benefit society.

"The Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce recognises individuals whose personal leadership has made a critical contribution to the effective use of IT in the positive exchange of value for value throughout the world,” said David Reilly, CIO of Enterprise Infrastructure, Morgan Stanley. “Both Dan and Tom exemplify the professional and technical leadership that our award stands for. Together they have built a great company with innovative products and along the way have assembled a really world-class team."

“It is a great honour to receive the Morgan Stanley Leadership Award for Global Commerce,” said Dan Warmenhoven. “This award is a testament to the remarkable achievements NetApp has attained in the marketplace. Our success is the result of our strong corporate culture, which values teamwork, productivity, leadership, and innovation.”

“I am proud to receive the leadership award that recognises the amazing results we have achieved as a team,” said Tom Mendoza. “I have a simple leadership belief, which is that people don’t care what you know unless they know that you care. You believe in me and I believe in you. Together we will sacrifice and succeed. NetApp’s culture is the embodiment of this belief.”

The Computerworld Honours Program unites chairmen and CEOs of the world’s foremost information technology companies to recognise the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. Members of the Chairmen's Committee, a group of 100 chairmen/CEOs of global technology companies, nominate individuals and organisations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promote positive social and economic progress.

The nominations are evaluated by an independent board of C-level judges who select laureates, finalists, and award recipients. The technology achievements honoured by this program are preserved and protected in national archives and in over 350 universities, museums, and research institutions throughout the world.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
