Gizmodo recently had the chance to talk to Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO and noted fan of developers (YouTube). While the man oversees all parts of Microsoft's empire, the conversation naturally had a large focus on the company's video game console, the Xbox 360. Most notably, when asked about Blu-ray, Ballmer rejected the idea of adding an internal drive, saying "you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories."
Is this actually in the works, or just a misquote from someone outside of the core Xbox team? Gizmodo asked a Microsoft representative, who chose not to comment on the subject, making the possibility seem even more likely. You can find the entire chat about Blu-ray, as well as a semi-admission that Natal is a way to indefinitely extend this console generation, at Gizmodo.
