The thin and light A4-sized S6010 is Fujitsu PC Australia's latest addition to its S series range. Weighing just 2.3kg with power supply and 2kg without, the S6010 comes in two variations. Both feature an Intel PIII-M processor, a 13.3in active TFT display with a maximum resolution of 1024x768 and integrated graphics using Intel's 82830M graphics chipset that can run using a maximum 48MB of memory.
The $4299 model features 256MB of SDRAM, a 30GB hard disk and a hot-swappable modular CD-R/RW drive. Although it features a built-in antenna, you must upgrade to a Wireless LAN module before it can be used. The $4999 model comes with the Wireless LAN module, an increased 512MB of SDRAM, a CD-R/RW/DVD-ROM combination drive and a slightly bigger 40GB hard disk.
Both models also feature single FireWire, USB, VGA-out (external monitor), PS/2, serial, parallel, Ethernet and 56Kbps modem connectors, and ship bundled with a port replicator and Windows XP Professional as standard. Also standard is a 12-month warranty, which can sensibly be upgraded to three years for another $300.
