Microsoft executive Mike Nash to leave the company

The company did not say if the Windows executive has taken a role with another company

Mike Nash, a high-ranking executive on Microsoft’s Windows team, is leaving the company.

He joins Bill Veghte, another longtime Microsoft veteran who also recently left the Windows team shortly after the launch of Windows 7.

Nash is corporate vice president of Windows Platform Strategy, where he has been responsible for security, Internet Explorer, emerging markets and ecosystem management. He’s been at Microsoft since 1991 and has worked on Microsoft’s security initiatives and Windows marketing.

Microsoft confirmed that Nash will leave the company in "a couple weeks." It did not say where he is heading. "In his 19 years, Mike made an impact in a number of key roles at the company. We appreciate his service and wish him well," Microsoft said in a statement.

In mid-January, Microsoft announced that Veghte, who had been at the company for 19 years, most recently as senior vice president of Windows, would leave by the end of January.

Veghte helped launch Windows 7 with his peer Steven Sinofsky, who was promoted in July to a new position of president of the Windows division.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.

The print quality also does not disappoint, it’s clear, bold, doesn’t smudge and the text is perfectly sized.
