Telstra has announced a partnership with Acer to sell notebooks with built-in mobile broadband to business customers. Available on monthly plans, the 3G-capable Acer notebooks feature a SIM card slot to access Telstra's Next G network.
"With these new bundles, and our new mobile broadband plans, we are working hard to help Australian small businesses get more from their technology," said Telstra Business Group Managing Director Deena Shiff. "These all-in-one business laptops provide a simple way for small business to equip their business for mobile working while avoiding large upfront costs and maintaining their cash flow."
The new Acer laptops available through Telstra are the 10in Aspire One A0531 netbook ($679) and the 13.3in TravelMate 8371 ($1648) and 15in 8571 ($1748) notebooks. The notebooks can be bought outright or purchased on an interest-free monthly repayment plan. The laptops are bundled with Telstra's casual, member data packs or shared data mobile broadband plans.
The Acer Aspire One A0531 10in netbook is offered on a $19 member data pack, plus monthly repayments starting from $28.29 per month over 24 months. The minimum total cost is $1134.96 plus any excess data usage charges. Telstra has five business data plans available, ranging from the entry-level 1GB plan for $19 per month up to a 20GB plan for $149.
The new Acer notebook bundles will be sold through Telstra Business Centres, other Telstra stores and 56 business-accredited partners.
