Blog MobileMentalism has leaked images and specifications of what it claims to be the HTC HD3 smartphone, the successor to the HTC HD2 smartphone and one of the first smartphones that will run Microsoft's all-new operating system, Windows Phone 7 Series.

If the blog is correct, the HTC HD3 will almost certainly be the most feature-packed smartphone ever built, equipped with a massive 4.5in AMOLED touchscreen, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, and an HDMI output.

The HTC HD3, which is claimed to be just 10mm thick, will also be one of the first smartphones to run Windows Phone 7 Series, which was first unveiled in February Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona.

The full list of alleged specifications is as follows:

4.5 in capacitive, AMOLED touch screen display

1280×800 pixel resolution

1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

1080p HD video playback

720p HD video recording

8megapixel camera with dual-LED flash

Multitouch

GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

3G and 4G connectivity

1GB RAM

1GB internal memory

32GB external memory

3.5mm headphone jack

HDMI output

1800mAh battery

115mm x 65mm x 10mm dimensions

Perhaps the most interesting feature listed is 4G connectivity, likely to be WiMAX. The HD3 wouldn't be the first phone with 4G connectivity, with HTC already releasing the Evo 4G through US telco Sprint.
