Plants vs. Zombies infecting Xbox 360 in September

Plants vs. Zombies is shambling to the Xbox 360 this September

After spreading from computers to Apple's portable devices, Plants vs. Zombies is shambling to the Xbox 360 this September with new modes and a unique retail configuration. Read on for more details regarding both.

Eschewing a PlayStation Network and WiiWare release for the time being, Plants vs. Zombies is due out on the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Arcade for US$15. Players who haven't purchased any of PopCap's XBLA wares may want to wait to visit their local retailer, as a $20 retail configuration due later in the year will pack in US$35 worth of games (PvZ, Peggle, and Zuma).

Regardless of where customers find their Plants vs. Zombies fix, all purchasers of the Xbox 360 version will be welcomed to the war with a suite of new features. Cooperative and versus multiplayer modes and a handful of new minigames will serve as exclusive content when the game debuts on consoles. For now, we have nothing in the way of new screens, video, or impressions of the game, but those will likely rise to life in the coming weeks before PvZ comes to Xbox Live.

For now, you can play a trial version of the game for free on Popcap's official site.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
