Laser today unveiled a new GPS device: the Laser Navig8r P Series P50 Pro. The 5in Navig8r P50 Pro includes Navteq maps of Australia and New Zealand, 3D landmark and "virtual junction" views.

The GPS device includes fixed speed and red light camera warnings, speed warnings and school zone alerts, as well as lane guidance.

According to Laser, the GPS targets both consumer and commercial drives. Features designed for professional drivers include input vehicle parameters, warnings for bridges, high wind and weight limits, and reminders for driving hours and rest breaks.

The Navig8r P Series P50 PRO GPS will be available this month with a recommended retail price of $249.

Laser has also launched a 4.3in GPS — the Navig8r P Series P43 — which costs $179.

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more?
