New Asus Motherboards Support Intel's Sandy Bridge

The love for Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors shows no sign of slowing down at this year's CES. Taiwanese computer manufacturer Asus revealed updated motherboards and laptops Wednesday that fully support the new Intel CPUs.

Asus's new P8P67 and P8H67 Series motherboards will now make use of Intel's new P67 and H67 chipsets. The company also announced that a variety of their laptops have now been updated to support Intel's second generation 'Sandy Bridge' Core processors.

ASUS laptops in the G, K, N and VX7 Series will be those seeing the change, with the new Intel Core CPU's being offered to consumers at some point in the future. According to ASUS, making use of the new processors will see the updated range of laptops being able to handle up-to eight-way multitasking.

Despite the good news, specific dates, other specification changes and price alterations for these updated devices are still unknown.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
