Panasonic has announced the Australian availability of its 103in and 85in Full HD 3D plasma TVs. The professional-grade plasma TVs were showcased at the 2010 Integrate exhibition in Sydney, with the 103in model currently the largest 3D plasma panel available in Australia.

The new plasma display panels have a rated contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and 30-bit image processing to ensure accurate and smooth colour and motion. New phosphor technology reduces 3D image crosstalk to a minimum, combating the annoying edge blur that occurs on some consumer-grade 3D plasma TVs.
Alongside their traditional usage in digital signage, the Panasonic TH-85VX200 and TH-103VX200 may soon be seen as a sales tool in car showrooms or at housing exhibitions, using 3D to draw in potential customers. With 3D TV becoming popular in cinemas and houses throughout 2010, 2011 may see 3D entering shopping centres and department stores.
The 103in Full HD 3D plasma panel has a recommended retail price of $63,799, with the 85in screen a more affordable $42,899. Panasonic sells its professional plasma panels through custom installers and specialist dealers.
