Canon releases retail prices for new IXUS, PowerShot and EOS cameras

Austrlian pricing announced for EOS 600D, EOS 1100D, plus IXUS and PowerShot cameras

Canon has just announced pricing for its upcoming range of digital cameras, which will become available through March from Canon dealers around Australia. Of note is the price for the Canon EOS 1100D, which for $799 in a single lens kit will be cheaper than Nikon's competing entry-level digital SLR, the D3100, which sells for around $850 in stores. The mid-range EOS 600D digital SLR will have a price of $1099 for the body only, and it will also be available in a 'Super Kit', which will include a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens for $1699.

Canon IXUS 115HS - $269
Canon IXUS 220HS - $319
Canon IXUS 310HS - $449

Canon PowerShot SX 220HS - $449
Canon PowerShot SX 230HS - $499

Canon EOS 1100D

Body only - $699

Twin Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III lenses) - $1049

Single IS Kit(with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II) - $849

Twin IS Kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II and EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS) - $1199

EOS 600D
