Duke Nukem Forever demo available June 3

Hail to the king, baby

Gearbox has announced that the demo for the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 from June 3... but only for First Access Club members.

Gearbox issued another "Very Special Message" video to Duke Nukem fans yesterday. The last time this happened, it was to announce a delay in the game's release date to June 14. This time, though, it's better news — the release date of the demo, which is blasting its way into our gaming systems of choice from June 3.

There's a catch, though — to access the demo on Steam, PS3 or Xbox 360, you'll have to be a member of the Duke Nukem First Access Club. There's two ways to do this: purchase a copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (a worthy investment, since Borderlands is great, and the DLC included with the GOTY edition is both substantial and good quality) or pre-order the game from "select retailers" — a full list of which can be found here. (It's GameStop and Amazon in the US, EB in Canada.)

In the meantime, the official website for the game has been updated with plenty of new content, so be sure to check it out.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
