<p>*Allied Technologies signs important three to five year national communication network Cable Facilities Management contract with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
*Recently acquired Melbourne based subsidiary TUSC Computer Systems wins a $2 million deal to upgrade Telstra’s national Alarm Monitoring System – plus a critical fault management contract to support Motorola’s Metropolitan emergency services Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade Radio Network being built in Victoria.</p>
<p>SYDNEY: Wednesday January 12, 2005: In a surge of recently awarded contracts, publicly listed Enterprise ICT Solutions provider, Allied Technologies Group (ASX: ATZ) and its subsidiary TUSC Computer Systems today announced multi million dollar ICT infrastructure deals with several major Australian Telcos and Utilities – including Telstra, Motorola, Agility, Integral Energy and TXU – plus the extension of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) national communication network Cable Facilities Management contract for a further three to five years.</p>
<p>In an announcement to the ASX today, Ray Doak, Allied Technologies Managing Director and CEO estimated the total combined value of the contracts announced by Allied and TUSC was "around $5 Million".</p>
<p>"The contract wins include a $2m deal to upgrade Telstra’s national Alarm Monitoring System (AMS), which manages a significant component of the Telstra transmission network and is an integral part of the network management at Telstra’s Global Operations Centre. AMS was originally developed by TUSC in 1987. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2006 and includes a complete rebuild and new architecture for the system," Mr. Doak said.</p>
<p>In a separate contract, TUSC will also provide consulting services for Telstra BigPond to enhance the performance of its Unified Service Management platform.</p>
<p>Another important telco contract won by TUSC was signed with Motorola to deliver fault monitoring, service level reporting and service desk infrastructure for the new Metropolitan Radio Network that Motorola is building, deploying and operating for emergency services in Victoria. The new Metropolitan Radio Network system will be deployed in approximately 2,300 police cars, 165 fire engines and 197 ambulances, with portable units provided for approximately 3,300 police, 351 fire officers and senior staff and 468 paramedics and senior staff.</p>
<p>TUSC’s utilities business added a further $557,000 worth of new business, which included:
1:Agility: an initial project to refine the functional specification for Agility’s planned Enterprise SCADA project.
2:Integral Energy: a project to develop software to manage their zone sub-station control systems.
3:Western Water: A project to extend their SCADA system.
4:Santos: A project to review existing IT structure, including underpinning communication infrastructure.</p>
<p>TUSC also renewed service contracts worth approximately $750,000 for TXU Networks, JUHI, City West Water, VENCorp and SR Telecom.</p>
