Samsung has published a countdown timer under the title 'The next Galaxy', fuelling suggestions its hotly anticipated Galaxy S III smartphone is not too far away.
The timer has been published on a dedicated Web site with the URL tgeltaayehxnx.com. The letters of the URL re-arranged spells "The next Galaxy", while the "coming soon" countdown timer is scheduled to end at 9pm Monday night, Sydney time.
The latest rumours doing the rounds in the tech world suggest the Galaxy S III smartphone will be powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, have a 4.6-inch display with 1184x720 resolution and either an 8 or 12-megapixel camera.
Last week, Samsung sent invitations to the media for an event titled "Come and see the next Galaxy". The event is scheduled for Thursday 3 May in London and is widely expected to be the launch of the company's next flagship Android smartphone.
Samsung will broadcasting the media event live on its official Facebook page.
