Moshi's Origo for iPad is protective, but too bulky

Moshi’s Origo is a silicone soft-shell case for the iPad that features a honeycomb design on the inside

Moshis $30 Origo is a silicone soft-shell case for the iPad that features a honeycomb design on the inside designed for maximum shock absorption with minimal weight. The Origo fits the iPad 2 and the third- and fourth-generation iPad, and comes in Charcoal Black or Polar White. It is bulky but not heavy and it feels very protective. The back has a bit of curve to it; it bulges out a bit around the edges but is slightly recessed in the center. From the back, it resembles a rounded picture frame. The added thickness and curvature gives you something to hold onto for extra grip while you use your iPad.

The Origo case comes right up over the front bezel of the iPad for extra protection against facedown drops, and does so without limiting functionality. There are cutouts for all of the ports and cameras. The volume and Sleep/Wake buttons have rubberized push-through button overlays, which allow their full use. The case does not come with a screen protector, and is not compatible with Apples Smart Coveryoull have to provide your own screen film if youre looking for additional protection.

If you need to plug your iPad into any kind of dock-cradle accessory, the bulky Origo may not fit. However, the soft silicone shell is very easy to take on and off as needed.

Bottom line

Overall, Moshis Origo is a solid choice for people who are uninterested in the Smart Cover and looking for a thick and simple silicone shell.

The HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printer is a great device that fits perfectly into my fast paced and mobile lifestyle. My first impression of the printer itself was how incredibly compact and sleek the device was.

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
