Samsung Galaxy S4 camera sample shots

Here's some sample shots we've taken with the Galaxy S4's 13-megapixel camera

We were lucky enough to walk away from Samsung's Galaxy S4 launch event in Sydney last night with a brand new phone to play with. Although we've only had our hands on the device for a few hours, we thought the ideal place to start was the Galaxy S4's camera.

The Galaxy S4's camera is packed with new software features, so if you're new to a smartphone you'll probably find them overwhelming at first. Ignoring all of these software features, we thought we'd start simple: how does the Galaxy S4 camera fare for everyday photos?

All of the below photos were captured with a Galaxy S4 using the standard "auto mode", which automatically adjusts the exposure to optimise colour and brightness.

In terms of settings, we selected the highest image size possible (13 megapixels at 4128x3096 pixels), with ISO set to auto and the anti shake feature switched off. By default, the Galaxy S4's camera is set to capture 9.6-megapixel images at a resolution of 4128x2322.
