Google has been selling its Nexus 7 tablet for a while and now we're hearing about the Nexus 11, the follow-up to the Nexus 10.

Like the current Android tablet, it will be made by Samsung and be the world's first octa-core tablet, according to SamMobile.

The Nexus 11, subject to Google's approval, will have an 11in Super PLS screen and use Samsung's Exynos 5410 octa-core processor which is found in some global variants of the Galaxy S4 smartphone. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear facing camera, 2-megapixel front facing camera and a rumoured microSD card for 64GB cards.

The Nexus 11 will rival the iPad 4 and quite possibly the iPad 5 when it arrives.

Samsung is also interested in releasing plenty more of its own tablets under the usual Galaxy branding. The firm has just announced the Galaxy Tab 3 which will go on sale this month.

Similar to the Nexus 11 is the Galaxy Tab 11 which has the same specifications apart from its Exynos 5250 dual-core A15 processor. A Galaxy Tab 8.0 looks like it will be a tablet version of the Galaxy Note 8.0 phablet, with an 8in Full HD screen, 5-megapixel camera and an Exynos 4412 quad-core A9 processor.

Last but not least, Samsung wants to introduce a dual-SIM device called the Galaxy Tab Duos 7.0. This will have two SIM-card slots, a 7in LCD screen, 3-megapixel camera and a dual-core processor. It's effectively a dual-SIM version of the Galaxy Tab 3.

SamMobile said Samsung might cancel a new generation of the Galaxy Note 10.1 because of weak sales.
