Aliens debut Australian wares

The Aliens are here and will be flogging their alien wares to Australian customers as of Monday.

Hot-selling US custom gaming PC maker Alienware will lift its shroud of secrecy with the unvieling of new locally-built models on the Australian Alienware Website at www.alienwaresystems.com.au and on its New Zealand counterpart at www.alienwaresystems.co.nz.

Customers keen to get their hands on what is billed as the "ultimate gaming machine" will be able to obtain information on models and place orders via the Web sites.

"We will be offering the Alienware experience of custom built, high-spec and exclusive desktop and notebook computers that no other company can offer," said Steven Pearce, customer service operator, Alienware Pacific Rim.

It is believed Alienware will distribute all its products bar the media centre PCs and ALX range.

Pearce said all systems were manufactured in Australia: "Our goal is to offer a much sort after brand name, recognised worldwide as the leader in high-tech gaming and cutting edge products."

Alieware PCs are known for the quality of components (for example, 64-bit processors feature prominently in its high-end gaming machines) and their distinctive "alien" look.

Freaky: Alienware's Aurora PC

An example is the Aurora Extreme: from head-on, it looks like the front of an old Chrysler automobile, with an enormous metallic case and a grille on either side. A small alien head sits on the front of the case. The system features a lockable case, which is easily accessible via a side panel -- no screwdrivers required.

The company also has offices in North America, the UK, France and Germany.

MSI GS65 Stealth Thin

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
