Martex appoints Manaccom as principal software distributor
- 24 July, 2003 16:13

(Sydney, 24 July, 2003) Recent local entrant into the Australian bookkeeping software market, Martex Software Solutions Pty Ltd announced today it has appointed Manaccom Pty Ltd as its principal Australasian distributor of its bookkeeping and payroll software solution, BusinessBreeze.

As the name implies, BusinessBreeze has been purposely developed to take the pain out of bookkeeping, as is aimed specifically at the ever expanding small business operator market in Australasia. This product is positioned as a real alternative to the MYOB’s and Quicken’s of the world – as it has been developed with the needs of small business foremost in mind.

A key feature of the software is its unique ‘click & run’ user interface that simplifies many of the regular tasks of bookkeeping and basic accounting. With ‘click & run’, users can run all the critical functions they need to perform with just a few clicks of their mouse. Furthermore the purchase price is kept low at rrp$330 with no annual subscription fees charged. These features make a real difference to small business operators.

“Technology should make processes such as bookkeeping easier for people, saving them time, money and stress”, says Martex’s Managing Director, Charles Alexiou. “The reality is many of the products currently on the market require people to have at least a basic understanding of bookkeeping terminology and processes. People spend hours trying to work through the processes and find it complicated and time consuming, not to mention costly constantly connecting through to support helplines for assistance”.

“Martex has developed a package that really does make business a breeze for people. Our software does all of the hard work for them and requires no additional training or understanding of complicated accounting jargon”.

Given the positioning of the software and its target audience it has been imperative that the product be made widely available in outlets where small business operators typically transact and that the product be supported by a solid, reputable distribution channel that understands the software and small business market intimately. Hence, the decision to appoint Manaccom as Martex’s primary distributor.

Renowned as a leading software publisher and distributor supplying resellers across the country as well as into New Zealand, Manaccom has operated for many years in the market here and unlike many other distributors in the industry, is growing from strength to strength showing unprecedented growth, reaching 30% currently. Manaccom has been quick to establish an impressive channel for BusinessBreeze in just a few short months and the software is already available in selected stores of OfficeWorks, Harvey Norman, Domayne, Chandlers, Mail Order Software as well as several independents. Talks are also underway to ensure BusinessBreeze is also available in selected stores of other mass merchants and independent outlets.
Managing Director of Manaccom, Ian Mackay says that the addition of BusinessBreeze to its software suite complements its range of business software and provides an excellent ‘fit’ in the Manaccom stable.
“We are always looking for new products to strengthen our overall offering and BusinessBreeze has certainly impressed us. To preserve our reputation it is critical that each of our titles represent exceptional value for money. Products must also prove to be robust and easy to use, both for the end user's peace of mind and to support volume distribution, which could be limited by a requirement for intensive technical support”.
“In our view BusinessBreeze ticks all the right boxes and we are rising to the challenge of stocking our resellers’ shelves, expanding the placement opportunities to get this product out where it should be – in the hands of small business end users”.
In the meantime, Martex continues to focus on the needs of small business operators and is looking into additional business solutions it can develop to continue to make business a breeze for this important segment of the market.
