Adobe Creative Cloud pitched at Ps/Lightroom users

Adobe is offering discounted membership to its Creative Cloud service for existing Photoshop and Lightroom users

Adobe is offering a heavily discounted AU$9.99/month membership to its [[artnid:Creative Cloud service, for existing Photoshop and Lightroom users with perpetual licenses to version CS3 or above.

The offer is available to Australian and New Zealand customers, though Adobe's Creative Cloud does not offer billing in New Zealand dollars -- AU$9.99/month equates to NZ$11.56 at the time of writing.

The special membership provides the user with the latest Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5, 20GB of online storage via Creative Cloud, and Adobe's Behance ProSite online portfolio service for artists and designers. The package is 50% the price of a single-application Creative Cloud subscription which would get you either Photoshop or Lightroom individually, (AU$19.99/month, NZ$23.12) and 20% the price of a full Creative Cloud subscription that grants you the entire Adobe Creative Suite (AU$49.99/month, NZ$57.83).

The offer is only available until 31 December. However, the pricing is indefinite: Adobe's Michael Stoddart, Creative Cloud manager for APAC, clarified in a press release: "$9.99 is not an introductory price. It is the price for eligible customers who sign up before December 31, 2013".

An alternative offer, available until 3 December 2013, discounts a full Creative Cloud subscription from AU$49.99/month to AU$29.99/month (NZ$34.68), for the first year only. The offer is available to existing owners of Creative Suite 3 or above.

Creative Cloud is Adobe's monthly subscription programme for its popular Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and other art and design software. A full subscription allows the user to download and install any of the included software for Windows or Mac OS X. Membership to Creative Cloud also provides online storage for sharing of creative material, and access to various online services such as the aforementioned Behance ProSite.

If you can afford the price tag, it is well worth the money. It out performs any other laptop I have tried for gaming, and the transportable design and incredible display also make it ideal for work.
