The company announced today on its Australian blog that the tablet is officially available online.

The online launch comes almost three weeks after the tablet officially went on sale through selected Australian retail stores including JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Dick Smith.

The 16GB Wi-Fi model of the new Nexus 7 sells for $299, while the 32GB Wi-Fi model is available for $339, a price hike of $50 and $40, respectively, compared to the original Nexus 7.

Google also sells a 32GB Wi-Fi+LTE version of the Nexus 7 for $439. All three models have a listed dispatch time of between 1-2 days and include free shipping for a "limited time".

The online launch of the new Nexus 7 in Australia comes almost two months after Google officially unveiled the device globally.

While it retains the same name as its predecessor, the new 7in tablet features a slightly different design and has a host of upgraded specifications, headed by a full HD display.

The tablet is also 2mm thinner than its predecessor (8.65mm), weighs 50g lighter (290g) and includes a 5-megapixel rear-camera, a feature that wasn't present on the original model.

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
