Symantec has a page which specifically deals with the virus, with updates on the variants and plenty of detail on how to spot it and what to do with it. Symantec have identified 13 different variants on their Web site and also have advice specific to Norton Utilities software users. In addition, a free download which removes all changes made to a computer system by the virus.

Mcafee has a virus fix for users of Mcafee and Dr Solomon software available at its homepage. Mcafee also hosts a free virus scan on it's site.
Trend Micro - (www.antivirus.com/)
Trend Micro's site contains a section specifically for home users, and contains a link to Trend Micro's 'House Call', a free online virus scanning service.
Microsoft - (www.officeupdate.microsoft.com/2000/downloadDetails/O2Kattch.htm?s)Microsoft have taken the pragmatic approach, leaving the fix for the virus up to the virus protection companies. Instead, it has published an 'Email Attachment Security Update', for Outlook 97, 98 and 2000 which can be downloaded from their site.
