Infocus LP650 projector

Featuring 2500 ANSI lumens brightness, and aspect and contrast ratios of 4:3 and 800:1, respectively, the LP650 weighs 4.24kg and has dimensions of 11x35x32.5cm (HxWxL).

The device has a native resolution of 1024x768, a minimum projection distance of 1.5m and can throw an image (measured diagonally) from 70cm to at least 6.7m.

When tested, the fairly quiet (at 35dB) LP650 took no more than a few minutes to set up. The Texas Instruments DLPTM lens has manual zoom and focus controls, plus features that offer ease of use such as colour-coded connections and cables. A quick setup guide and manual, standardised in-projector menus, and backlit buttons on the projector’s top surface and remote are helpful. The remote gives easy control over functions (such as the +/-20º keystone correction) and has a laser pointer for presentations.

Computer connections include DVI and standard VGA computer-ins (with two 3.5mm audio-ins for the two built-in 2W stereo speakers). Additional input connectivity includes S-Video, RCA, Component RCA (with stereo RCA audio out), monitor out, signal control and a RJ45 Ethernet port that facilitates ProjectorNet management over a network.

The LP650 ships with a two-year warranty and comes with all the cables you should need to get started. A range of accessories is available, including ceiling and wall mounts.

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
