<p>EMC Expands Sydney Customer Support Centre
-EMC Hires 55 Multilingual Customer Support Professionals to Enhance Services Offering -</p>
<p>SYDNEY, 27 October 2003 - EMC Corporation today announced the expansion of its North Ryde Customer Support Centre, appointing 30 multilingual Solution Support Technicians (SST) and 25 multilingual Product Support Engineers (PSE), who will provide support for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese-speaking customers.</p>
<p>Steve Redman, Managing Director of EMC Australia and New Zealand, said: “The expansion of the North Ryde Customer Support Centre is testament to EMC’s commitment to local job creation and to enhancing EMC’s customer support for networked storage solutions for the region. EMC’s customer support model ensures customers systems are up and running 24x7.”</p>
<p>EMC's information storage platforms are equipped with automatic ‘phone-home’ capabilities, enabling EMC service experts to monitor systems around the clock. By dialling back into the EMC system, EMC technicians can take action quickly, analyse data and irregularities, and resolve most issues before they affect customers.</p>
<p>With the aim of implementing a true ‘Sun Never Sets’ model, EMC has Customer Support Centres located around the world in, Hopkinton, Massachusetts; Duluth, Georgia; Cork, Ireland; Tokyo, Japan; and Melbourne, Australia, and a global service network of more than 6,000 technical, field, and support personnel.
