Thousands of show goers were evacuated from the OracleWorld conference in the US Wednesday because of a bomb scare.
Police entered the Moscone Center in San Francisco's South of Market district just as attendees were filing into an afternoon keynote speech. Soon after, an announcement was made over the loudspeakers: "Folks, we are evacuating the building."
There were no initial reports of injuries. An Oracle representative on-site confirmed that the evacuation was due to a bomb scare.
OracleWorld kicked off Monday and was due to wrap up Thursday. Approximately 18,000 people were expected to attend. There was no initial word on when the show would resume.
