Hot off the heels of the largest iPhone launch comes another Apple event. Cryptic invitations we issued to members of the press in the style of Apple's 30th Mac anniversary logo.
“It’s been way too long,” the invite reads.
So, the Apple logo from the invite is the same as the Mac 30th anniversary logo. So, new Macs indeed. pic.twitter.com/cn3aEcCCS5

No other clues have been given; however, leaks suggest the event will also be dedicated to a new iPad Air.
Internet pundits claim the upcoming iPad will be 7mm thick, inherit the iPhone 6’s A8 and M8 processors, come with TouchID and hardware supportive of Apple Pay.
GSMArena reports the iMac range will feature higher resolutions screens. iMacs are said to come with 6400 x 3600, 5760 x 3240, and 4096 x 2304 resolution displays.
Speculation suggests Apple will also launch a 12in MacBook Air with Retina display, along with the final release of OS X Yosemite.
Apple will host the event next week, on 16 October, at the Town Hall auditorium located on its campus in California.Read more: Apple's Wi-Fi Calling innovation neglected by Australian telcos
