Spec Showdown: Apple iPad Air 2 v Google Nexus 9

Apple's upcoming iPad Air 2 is pitted against Google's HTC-made Nexus 9

Apple launched a new iPad this morning, but 24 hours after Google beat them to the punch with the Nexus 9.

The two tablets hover around the 9in mark, have the same resolution screen, both run 64-bit architecture and have 8MP cameras. Largely separating the two are their operating systems, with the Apple running iOS 8 and the Nexus sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Google blindsided Apple with the news of its Nexus 9. We knew it was coming, but we didn't know it would land on the eve of Apple iPad Air 2.

Here's a no fuss side-by-side comparison of the specs found in each tablet.

Pick wisely.
