Beats Solo2 headphones go wireless for $399

On sale at Apple stores

Beats has released a wireless version of its popular Solo2 headphones. The headphones have gone on sale online from Apple.

Music can be played wirelessly for “up to 12 hours” before the battery needs to be recharged and a Bluetooth range of 9 metres. When the battery runs flat, simply revert back to the auxiliary cable.

Built into the cable is a microphone and a button so that phone calls can be answered. The volume can be tweaked from controls on the cups.

The headphones are of the on-ear variety and can be folded for convenient packaging.

Available colours are blue, red, black and white. The headphones themselves retail for $399 and can be purchased from Apple, both online and in stores.

Good Gear Guide is working on a review of the Solo2 headphones and will publish it within the coming fortnight.

Dynabook Portégé® X30L-G notebook

I have had the pleasure of owning notebooks from Dynabook’s predecessor Toshiba for both work and leisure in the past. Toshiba’s attention to quality of build and design of the notebooks is second to none. The re-branding to Dynabook and the launch of the new range was completed in early 2019. I am pleased to confirm that not only did Dynabook further refine what Toshiba has left off; they have set a new benchmark for the ultra-light notebook category.

MSI GS75

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
